Praise and Prayer, October 2018

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." - Romans 1:16-17 (NIV 1984)

There is a prayer night at church on Friday, October 19 from 7-9pm. We will be in prayer for our ministries.

Prayer highlights:

    Praise and Prayer for 5/2

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. - Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV 1984)

Instead of meeting on Wednesday 5/2, we will meet for prayer on Thursday 5/3 starting at 7pm at church. The Pathway body is meeting for the National Day of Prayer to pray for our nation and the church.

    Prayer highlights:

Pray that God will protect them, open their eyes for what He wants them to see, use them to impact lives for Him, and return them safely back home. Pray for those in need to find a place to be refreshed physically, emotionally and spiritually, and praise God for those who have found a home at Pathway. Praise and Prayer for 3/7

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. - Colossians 3:12-14 (NIV 1984)

        Praise and Prayer for 2/7

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood shed on the cross. - Colossians 1:15-20 (NIV 1984)

This Wednesday 2/7 we have a prayer meeting in the church (room 101) that starts at 7:30pm. If you cannot join us at church, please gather with friends and family wherever you are to be in prayer for the church. Our Pathway family is united in prayer every Wednesday from 8-9pm.

        Prayer highlights:
        • Pray for God to move as we spend time on Colossians over the next eight weeks. Pray that we will have a deeper understanding of the supremacy of Christ and that He will convict us to do our part in His advancement of the gospel.
        • Praise God for those who stepped out in faith to be trained as future G-Force teachers. Pray for all the teachers to continue to be passionate to teach our kids the foundations of God's word in a creative manner.

          Praise and Prayer for 1/3

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children, and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. - Ephesians 5:1-2  (NIV 1984)

This Wednesday 1/3 we have a prayer meeting in the church (room 101) that starts at 7:30pm. If you cannot join us at church, please gather with friends and family wherever you are to be in prayer for the church. Our Pathway family is united in prayer every Wednesday from 8-9pm.

            Praise and Prayer for 12/6

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. - John 1:1 (NIV 1984)

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. - John 1:14 (NIV 1984)

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known. - John 1:17-18 (NIV 1984)

It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. - Psalm 100 (NIV 1984)
