Praise and Prayer for 9/10

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. - Psalm 19:1-4 (NIV 1984)

There is no prayer meeting at church this week but we join for a time of prayer every Wednesday night from 8-9pm.

Answered prayers:

• Praise God for the faithfulness and commitment of the women as they completed the study of the book of James this past Sunday. Pray for continued desire and commitment of our congregation to spend time with God and His word, to listen intently to His voice and to obey when He calls us to apply what we learn.

New prayer requests:

• Pray for wisdom and insight as the church leadership looks into ministry growth.
• Pray for the meeting this week regarding our rental situation with the landlord, Sleepy Hollow, that there will be open communication. Pray that God would soften their hearts to be flexible to helping Pathway with their needs.
• Pray for East Bay Stand Down, a four-day event that starts tomorrow September 11, held for homeless and at-risk military veterans where they can receive services such as dental care, mental health services, basic hygiene care, legal aide, meals, and other types of services.

Active prayer requests:

• Pray for the upcoming Dodgeball Tournament Fundraiser on October 18 to help with the AIDS/HIV pandemic in Africa.  Pray for the logistics, planning, volunteers, and great participation, for a fun time and to raise awareness and funds for Africa.
• Pray for God's wisdom and deliverance as the ELT continues to look into the church finances.
• Pray for our Small Groups transitioning to Life Groups and the focus to experiencing life together. Pray for development of leaders and for groups to desire to reach out to help others connect with a group. Pray for Pastor Matt as he leads this important ministry with the aim of helping our congregation to grow in Christ and to be mission focused.
• Pray for God's wisdom and leading as we minister in the Dublin and surrounding community. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Open Heart Kitchen to help serve meals to those in need in our community and continue to be in prayer for this ministry. As we prepare for the annual Family Fall Festival please pray for the preparation, volunteers and for those that God will lead through our doors. May God's love and hope be experienced through all these ministries.

• Praise Him for specific evidences of His glory, power, wisdom, grace, mercy, faithfulness, love, or other attributes in our lives this week
• Give thanks with grateful and joyful hearts for specific blessings we have received this week
• Come before Him with humble hearts and pray for our lives to align with His purposes
• Pray for Pathway's leadership to seek Him first in all decision making, to lead by example, to be passionate and committed to growing our congregation as followers of Christ, and to receive encouragement from God and our congregation
• Pray for commitment to God's vision and mission for Pathway and our responsibility as part of the body to fulfill the mission
