Praise and Prayer for 4/22

This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the Lord. - Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NIV 1984)

There is no prayer meeting at church this week but we join for a time of prayer every Wednesday night from 8-9pm.

Answered prayers:

• Praise God for uniting us as a church body in discerning God's will on the next lead pastor for Pathway. After many months of prayer and waiting on the Lord in the pastoral search process, Pathway's members have overwhelmingly affirmed Pastor Ken as the next lead pastor. Please be in prayer for the ELT and Pastor Ken's family as we close in on the final decision. Pray for God's wisdom and that His will be done in this process.

New prayer requests:

• Continue to be in prayer for Pathway to love and serve the community during Dublin's Annual Pride Week volunteer day on 4/25. Praise God for the many volunteers with willing hearts to serve. Pray for God's protection of all those serving.

Active prayer requests:

• Pray for continued progress in working toward possible solutions to our rental situation and finding favor with Sleepy Hollow and its investors. Pray that we will follow God's leading and represent Him well.
• Pray for wisdom and insight as the church leadership looks into ministry growth.
• Pray for God's wisdom and deliverance as the ELT continues to look into the church finances.
• Pray for our Life Groups and the focus to experiencing life together. Pray for development of leaders and for groups to desire to reach out to help others connect with a group. Pray for Pastor Matt as he leads this important ministry with the aim of helping our congregation to grow in Christ and to be mission focused.
• Pray for God's wisdom and leading as we minister in the Dublin and surrounding community. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Open Heart Kitchen to help serve meals to those in need in our community and continue to be in prayer for this ministry. May God's love and hope be experienced in our community.

• Praise Him for specific evidences of His glory, power, wisdom, grace, mercy, faithfulness, love, or other attributes in our lives this week
• Give thanks with grateful and joyful hearts for specific blessings we have received this week
• Come before Him with humble hearts and pray for our lives to align with His purposes
• Pray for Pathway's leadership to seek Him first in all decision making, to lead by example, to be passionate and committed to growing our congregation as followers of Christ, and to receive encouragement from God and our congregation
• Pray for commitment to God's vision and mission for Pathway and our responsibility as part of the body to fulfill the mission
