Praise and Prayer for 9/23

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. - Psalm 34:15-18 (NIV 1984)

There is no prayer meeting at church this week but we join for a time of prayer every Wednesday night from 8-9pm.

Answered prayers:

New prayer requests:

• Please lift up Todd and Jayne Fong and their children Jeremy and Ayumi in prayer. The Fongs are JEMS missionaries who are in Japan serving and encouraging Japanese Christians so that they may be refreshed in reaching out to the 99% of their nation who do not know Christ. Pray for patience, grace and love in relationships, and for opportunities to share the gospel with friends, students and family. Pray for additional opportunities to use photography as a ministry to help other ministries. Pray for God to protect and provide for the Fongs as they minister in Japan and for God to guard them from spiritual attacks.
• Pray for the upcoming 10th annual Dodgeball Tournament on October 10 hosted by our Pathway youth to help raise money and awareness for the needs in Africa. Pray for the logistics, planning, volunteers, and great participation, and for opportunities to invite and interact with friends who may not yet know Christ. 

Active prayer requests:

• Pray for the Go Deeper series and for our pastors who deliver God's message to us. Pray for open hearts to receive, to go deeper in our relationship with God and to partner with Him to share His love and to reach the lost.
• Pray for continued progress in working toward possible solutions to our rental situation and finding favor with Sleepy Hollow and its investors. Pray that we will follow God's leading and represent Him well.
• Pray for wisdom and insight as the church leadership looks into ministry growth.
• Pray for God's wisdom and deliverance as the ELT continues to look into the church finances.
• Pray for our Life Groups and the focus to experiencing life together. Pray for development of leaders and for groups to desire to reach out to help others connect with a group.
• Pray for God's wisdom and leading as we minister in the Dublin and surrounding community. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Open Heart Kitchen to help serve meals to those in need in our community and continue to be in prayer for this ministry. May God's love and hope be experienced in our community.

• Praise Him for specific evidences of His glory, power, wisdom, grace, mercy, faithfulness, love, or other attributes in our lives this week
• Give thanks with grateful and joyful hearts for specific blessings we have received this week
• Come before Him with humble hearts and pray for our lives to align with His purposes
• Pray for Pathway's leadership to seek Him first in all decision making, to lead by example, to be passionate and committed to growing our congregation as followers of Christ, and to receive encouragement from God and our congregation
• Pray for commitment to God's vision and mission for Pathway and our responsibility as part of the body to fulfill the mission
