Praise and Prayer for 10/14

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." - Romans 1:16-17 (NIV 1984)

There is no prayer meeting at church this week but we join for a time of prayer every Wednesday night from 8-9pm.

Answered prayers:

• Praise God for the turnout, raising awareness for the needs in Africa, for the fellowship, and for a fun and safe Dodgeball tournament this past Saturday. Thank God for the participants and the willing volunteers to create an environment for interaction with those that may not yet know the Lord and those outside of Pathway, and for the funds raised to help with the needs in Africa.

New prayer requests:

• Pray for the upcoming Family Fall Festival on October 31. Pray for those God will lead to Pathway to experience the joy that we have in Christ. Pray for our volunteers to be ready to extend God's love to our visitors and for God to soften hearts to be receptive to Him.
• Pray for the outreach launch to the Wexford Way community which has been moved to Wednesday October 21. Pray for the Lord's hand in the building of relationships, imparting of practical skills, and opportunities to share God's love and hope with those living in the Wexford Way community.

Active prayer requests:

• Pray for the Go Deeper series and for our pastors who deliver God's message to us. Pray for open hearts to receive, to go deeper in our relationship with God and to partner with Him to share His love and to reach the lost.
• Pray for continued progress in working toward possible solutions to our rental situation and finding favor with Sleepy Hollow and its investors. Pray that we will follow God's leading and represent Him well.
• Pray for wisdom and insight as the church leadership looks into ministry growth.
• Pray for God's wisdom and deliverance as the ELT continues to look into the church finances.
• Pray for our Life Groups and the focus to experiencing life together. Pray for development of leaders and for groups to desire to reach out to help others connect with a group.
• Pray for God's wisdom and leading as we minister in the Dublin and surrounding community. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Open Heart Kitchen to help serve meals to those in need in our community and continue to be in prayer for this ministry. May God's love and hope be experienced in our community.

• Praise Him for specific evidences of His glory, power, wisdom, grace, mercy, faithfulness, love, or other attributes in our lives this week
• Give thanks with grateful and joyful hearts for specific blessings we have received this week
• Come before Him with humble hearts and pray for our lives to align with His purposes
• Pray for Pathway's leadership to seek Him first in all decision making, to lead by example, to be passionate and committed to growing our congregation as followers of Christ, and to receive encouragement from God and our congregation
• Pray for commitment to God's vision and mission for Pathway and our responsibility as part of the body to fulfill the mission
