Praise and Prayer for 1/27

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. - Philippians 4:8-9 (NIV 1984)

There is no prayer meeting at church this week but we join for a time of prayer every Wednesday night from 8-9pm.

Answered prayers:

• Praise God for a successful Ministry Expo this past Sunday and for all the hands that were used to make it a creative and informative event. Pray that God will raise up additional servants to grow our serving ministries and to grow our hearts as servants of the Lord.  

New prayer requests:

• Be in prayer for how God is going to use us individually and corporately as we have started a series on Renewing the City. Pray for deepening friendships, sharing of our faith, and being generous as we serve others for God's glory.
• Pray for the Spiritual Conversations course that starts next week to help equip us for creating spiritual conversations with family and friends. Pray for the desire to learn and for great participation as Pastor Ken leads this course.

Active prayer requests: 

• Pray for open and humble hearts as we build Christian mentoring relationships at Pathway this year. Prayerfully consider how God would use you to be a mentor and/or be mentored. 
• Pray for the planning and outreach to the Wexford Way community. Pray for the Lord's hand in the building of relationships, imparting of practical skills, and opportunities to share God's love and hope with those living in the Wexford Way community.
• Pray for continued progress in working toward possible solutions to our rental situation and finding favor with Sleepy Hollow and its investors. Pray that we will follow God's leading and represent Him well.
• Pray for wisdom and insight as the church leadership looks into ministry growth.
• Pray for God's wisdom and deliverance as the ELT continues to look into the church finances.
• Pray for our Life Groups and the focus to experiencing life together. Pray for development of leaders and for groups to desire to reach out to help others connect with a group.
• Pray for God's wisdom and leading as we minister in the Dublin and surrounding community. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Open Heart Kitchen to help serve meals to those in need in our community and continue to be in prayer for this ministry. May God's love and hope be experienced in our community.

• Praise Him for specific evidences of His glory, power, wisdom, grace, mercy, faithfulness, love, or other attributes in our lives this week
• Give thanks with grateful and joyful hearts for specific blessings we have received this week
• Come before Him with humble hearts and pray for our lives to align with His purposes
• Pray for Pathway's leadership to seek Him first in all decision making, to lead by example, to be passionate and committed to growing our congregation as followers of Christ, and to receive encouragement from God and our congregation
• Pray for commitment to God's vision and mission for Pathway and our responsibility as part of the body to fulfill the mission
