Praise and Prayer for 11/2

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:4-7 (NIV 1984)

This Wednesday 11/2 we have a prayer meeting in the church yellow room that starts at 7:30pm. If you cannot join us at church, please gather with friends and family wherever you are to be in prayer for the church. Our Pathway family is united in prayer every Wednesday from 8-9pm.

Prayer highlights:
  • Praise God for a successful Family Fall Festival this past Monday. Thank God for raising all the volunteers and for their heart of service, and for bringing many visitors to Pathway. Pray for those who visited to have experienced God's love and to consider joining one of our services.
  • Pray for the upcoming Concert of Prayer service, Prayertography, and the Praise Giving service, Cafe Quench, which will be evangelistic and outreach focused. Be in prayer for who you might invite to these services. Pray for the planning and preparation, and for God to use Pathway to reach those that may not know our Lord Jesus, and to draw us nearer to prayer and worship.
  • Pray for the upcoming Women's Tea on December 3 which will focus on hope. Pray for God to make clear to the Pathway women who they might invite to this event. Pray for the speaker as she prepares to share the message of hope with those in attendance. Pray for the planning and preparation and for joyful volunteers to make this event extra special for the women.
  • Continue to pray for wisdom and discernment for our leadership team as we seek God's direction for the church facility in our current or future location. Pray also for favor with the Landlord as Pathway seeks early termination of its current lease.
Ministry prayer requests:
  • Young Children:
    • that our kids (nursery, preschool-aged and special needs) will experience God's great love for them; that our kids will feel loved, nurtured, and safe while in our care
    • that our teachers will remain passionate in teaching and continue to build relationships with the kids and their families
    • looking for 3 additional preschool teachers
    • that God would give Betty wisdom and guidance in how to effectively lead the Young Children's ministry, trusting and relying more on God and less on self
  • G-Force:
    • for 4 additional teachers and 8 high school assistants who love God and PCC kids
    • for renewed energy and passion for the wonderful teachers we already have; protection from burnout
    • God's wisdom for Brandy to be able to discern what God wants for G-Force and how best to demonstrate the love God has for our children
  • Youth:
    • that our students will own their own faith, not just inherited faith; that God and His love would be real and life changing
    • that all of our youth open up to each other and for our community to grow (in numbers, in faith, and in bridging age gaps from middle school, to high school, and into college)
    • that our students continue to shine the light and love of God on their campuses and at PCC; that they be leaders of faith to everyone
  • Life Groups:
    • to be a ministry that brings honor and glory to God that is used to build meaningful relationships with one another and with Jesus Christ
    • for God to encourage, strengthen, and build-up our Life Group leaders; for their spiritual growth and protection
    • for God to transform the life of each Life Group participant through a spirit of grace, acceptance, and welcoming between each member
  • Finance:
    • for continued growth of the church and support from all worshippers to make PCC financially sound
    • for help from the landlord with our rental expenses, whether here or at our next location
    • for getting other interested parties to rent and make better use of our space
  • Welcome/Greeting/Follow-up:
    • for additional people who are passionate in welcoming newcomers each Sunday and are willing to help with follow-up
    • for newcomers to Pathway to feel welcomed and interested in connecting with Pathway and its life groups and ministries
    • for greeters to connect and be an encouragement to everyone that attends Pathway; most importantly, to share God's love
  • Leadership:
    • to maintain a vital and intimate relationship with God in our individual lives
    • to be sensitive and responsive to the needs of our church body as shepherds
    • to be faithful and open to God's leading to deal with the church's financial situation, ministries impacting our community, and a future meeting place after our current lease expires
Additional prayer requests:
  • Pray for open and humble hearts as we build Christian mentoring relationships at Pathway this year. Prayerfully consider how God would use you to be a mentor and/or be mentored.
  • Pray for God's wisdom and leading as we minister in the Dublin and surrounding community. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Open Heart Kitchen to help serve meals to those in need in our community and for our Food Ministry to distribute food to Wexford Way and Camille Place, and continue to be in prayer for these ministries. May God's love and hope be experienced in our community.

Please incorporate the following in your prayer:
  • Praise Him for specific evidences of His glory, power, wisdom, grace, mercy, faithfulness, love, or other attributes in our lives this week.
  • Give thanks with grateful and joyful hearts for specific blessings we have received this week.
  • Come before Him with humble hearts and pray for our lives to align with His purposes.
  • Pray for Pathway's leadership to seek Him first in all decision making, to lead by example, to be passionate and committed to growing our congregation as followers of Christ, and to receive encouragement from God and our congregation.
  • Pray for commitment to God's vision and mission for Pathway and our responsibility as part of the body to fulfill the mission.
