Praise and Prayer for 11/18

[Jesus said,] "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV 1984)

This Wednesday 11/18 we have a prayer meeting in the church conference room that starts at 7:30pm. If you cannot join us at church, please gather with friends and family wherever you are to be in prayer for the church. Our Pathway family is united in prayer every Wednesday from 8-9pm.

Answered prayers:
  • Praise God for the people He has brought to Pathway, and for using the Pathway body to warmly welcome and share His love. Thank God for blessing us with a wonderful welcome luncheon this past Sunday where those that have started coming to Pathway recently were able to enjoy a meal together and learn more about Pathway. Pray that God will use each one as an integral part of the Pathway body as we grow in our walk with God and in our bonds with one another, and as we reach out to our community in His power and for His glory.
New prayer requests:
  • Pray for the relationships with the local schools as we partner with the Dublin Unified School District and the upcoming service project on November 21 to plant and mulch. Thank God for all the volunteers and pray that they will be a blessing and be blessed as they serve to help spruce up the school grounds.
  • Pray for the upcoming Praise Giving service, Cafe Quench, which will be evangelistic and outreach focused. Be in prayer for who you might invite to this service. Pray for the planning and preparation, and for God to use Pathway to reach those that may not know our Lord Jesus.
  • Pray for the upcoming Women's Tea on December 5, which will also be evangelistic and outreach focused. Pray for God to make clear to the Pathway women who they might invite to this event. Pray for the guest speaker as she prepares to share the Gospel message with those in attendance.
Active prayer requests:
  • Pray for the planning and outreach to the Wexford Way community. Pray for the Lord's hand in the building of relationships, imparting of practical skills, and opportunities to share God's love and hope with those living in the Wexford Way community.
  • Please keep the Mitobes in your prayers as they mourn the loss of Toby. Pray also for the planned memorial service on November 28. Pray for the Pathway body to be of support, comfort and encouragement to the Mitobe family.
  • Pray for continued progress in working toward possible solutions to our rental situation and finding favor with Sleepy Hollow and its investors. Pray that we will follow God's leading and represent Him well.
  • Pray for wisdom and insight as the church leadership looks into ministry growth.
  • Pray for God's wisdom and deliverance as the ELT continues to look into the church finances.
  • Pray for our Life Groups and the focus to experiencing life together. Pray for development of leaders and for groups to desire to reach out to help others connect with a group.
  • Pray for God's wisdom and leading as we minister in the Dublin and surrounding community. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Open Heart Kitchen to help serve meals to those in need in our community and continue to be in prayer for this ministry. May God's love and hope be experienced in our community.

Please incorporate the following in your prayer:
  • Praise Him for specific evidences of His glory, power, wisdom, grace, mercy, faithfulness, love, or other attributes in our lives this week
  • Give thanks with grateful and joyful hearts for specific blessings we have received this week
  • Come before Him with humble hearts and pray for our lives to align with His purposes
  • Pray for Pathway's leadership to seek Him first in all decision making, to lead by example, to be passionate and committed to growing our congregation as followers of Christ, and to receive encouragement from God and our congregation
  • Pray for commitment to God's vision and mission for Pathway and our responsibility as part of the body to fulfill the mission
