Praise and Prayer for 11/25

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. - Psalm 100:1-5 (NIV 1984)

There is no prayer meeting at church this week but we join for a time of prayer every Wednesday night from 8-9pm.

Answered prayers:
  • Praise God for the Praise Giving service, Cafe Quench, this past Sunday. It was a blessed time for all, with a relaxed setting to engage in extended conversation and fellowship. Pray that God will enable the deepening of relationships and continue to transform us.
  • Praise God for the many volunteers that helped to plant and mulch at one of the Dublin schools. The project was completed in less than half the expected time, and the volunteers demonstrated Pathway's love and care for our local community. Pray that we will be able to continue our partnership with the Dublin school district.
New prayer requests:
  • Pray for the Advent series that starts this coming Sunday. Pray for intentional invitations and that God will use the services to touch the hearts of those in attendance, especially those that are in need of hope, which is only found in our Lord Jesus.
  • Pray for the upcoming Women's Tea on December 5, which will be evangelistic and outreach focused. Pray for God to make clear to the Pathway women who they might invite to this event. Pray for the guest speaker as she prepares to share the Gospel message with those in attendance.
  • Pray for the memorial service in celebration of Toby Mitobe this coming Saturday. Pray for the blessing God will provide, and for peace, comfort and encouragement to the Mitobe family.
Active prayer requests:
  • Pray for the planning and outreach to the Wexford Way community. Pray for the Lord's hand in the building of relationships, imparting of practical skills, and opportunities to share God's love and hope with those living in the Wexford Way community.
  • Pray for continued progress in working toward possible solutions to our rental situation and finding favor with Sleepy Hollow and its investors. Pray that we will follow God's leading and represent Him well.
  • Pray for wisdom and insight as the church leadership looks into ministry growth.
  • Pray for God's wisdom and deliverance as the ELT continues to look into the church finances.
  • Pray for our Life Groups and the focus to experiencing life together. Pray for development of leaders and for groups to desire to reach out to help others connect with a group.
  • Pray for God's wisdom and leading as we minister in the Dublin and surrounding community. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with Open Heart Kitchen to help serve meals to those in need in our community and continue to be in prayer for this ministry. May God's love and hope be experienced in our community.

Please incorporate the following in your prayer:
  • Praise Him for specific evidences of His glory, power, wisdom, grace, mercy, faithfulness, love, or other attributes in our lives this week
  • Give thanks with grateful and joyful hearts for specific blessings we have received this week
  • Come before Him with humble hearts and pray for our lives to align with His purposes
  • Pray for Pathway's leadership to seek Him first in all decision making, to lead by example, to be passionate and committed to growing our congregation as followers of Christ, and to receive encouragement from God and our congregation
  • Pray for commitment to God's vision and mission for Pathway and our responsibility as part of the body to fulfill the mission
